Challenge

The best selling German beer in the world wanted to expand penetration in the US market with the goal of moving from #5 German Import to #2 within five years.

Strategy

• Develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated marketing program to directly impact sales performance. • Plan included all elements of trade and consumer marketing: Advertising, PR, Sales Promotion, Events, Consumer Contests. • Directly addressed the goal by focusing on sales-driving elements while building brand equity. • Developed impactful annual plans and executed quarterly on- and off-premise promotion tied to brand-relevant usage and occasions.

We established the plan well before the beginning of the upcoming year, which gave the client the ability to solicit and obtain support from their distributor network, especially in their core markets where they were looking for significant share growth.
